Protection of your data

We take the protection of your data very seriously. The protection of your data is of the utmost importance to us, which is why compliance with data protection regulations is a matter of course for us. Below you will find information about the use of data on the website www.h7.de

Our data protection principles:

1. Information on the collection of personal data and contact details of the controller

1.1 In the following we inform you about the handling of your personal data when you use our website. Personal data is all data with which you can be personally identified.

1.2 The controller for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Heptagon UG (haftungsbeschrรคnkt), Roteichenring 29, D-68167 Mannheim, Germany, Tel.: +49 (0) 621/4849 4149, email: info@h7.de. The controller responsible for the processing of personal data is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

1.3 Please note that no data protection officer has to be appointed.

1.4 For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content (for example orders or enquiries to the controller), this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the character string โ€œhttps://โ€ and the lock symbol in your browser line.

2. Data collection when visiting our website

When you use our website for information only, that is, if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we only collect the data that your browser transmits to our server (so-called โ€œserver log filesโ€). When you access our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display the website to you:

  • the page of our website visited
  • date and time of access
  • amount of data sent, in bytes
  • source/referrer from which you reached the page
  • browser used
  • operating system used
  • IP address used (where applicable in anonymised form)

Processing is carried out pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data is not passed on or otherwise used. We reserve the right, however, to check the server log files subsequently if there are concrete indications of unlawful use.

3. Cookies

In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, that is, after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us or our partner companies (third-party cookies) to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). If cookies are set, they collect and process certain user information to an individual extent, such as browser and location data and IP address values. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may differ depending on the cookie.

Some of the cookies serve to simplify the ordering process by storing settings (for example remembering the contents of a virtual shopping cart for a later visit to the website). Where personal data is also processed by individual cookies implemented by us, the processing is carried out pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR either for the performance of the contract or pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly and effective design of the visit to the site.

We may work with advertising partners who help us make our website more interesting for you. For this purpose, cookies from partner companies are also stored on your hard drive when you visit our website (third-party cookies). If we work with the aforementioned advertising partners, you will be informed individually and separately about the use of such cookies and the scope of the information collected in each case in the following paragraphs.

Please note that you can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide on their acceptance individually, or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. Each browser differs in the way it manages cookie settings. This is described in the help menu of each browser, which explains how you can change your cookie settings. You will find these for the respective browsers under the following links:

4. Contact

When you contact us (for example by email), personal data is collected. Which data is collected in the case of a contact form can be seen from the respective contact form. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of answering your request or for contacting you and the associated technical administration. The legal basis for the processing of the data is our legitimate interest in answering your request pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If your contact is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your data will be deleted after your enquiry has been dealt with in full; this is the case when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified and provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

5. Data processing when opening a customer account and for contract processing

Pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, personal data continues to be collected and processed if you provide it to us for the performance of a contract or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. Your customer account can be deleted at any time by sending a message to the address of the controller stated above. We store and use the data you provide for the processing of the contract. After complete processing of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked with regard to tax and commercial retention periods and deleted after these periods have expired, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we have reserved a legally permitted further use of data, about which we inform you below.

6. Use of your data for direct advertising

6.1 Registration for our email newsletter

If you register for our email newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your email address. The provision of any further data is voluntary and is used to address you personally. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to send the newsletter. This means that we will only send you an email newsletter once you have expressly confirmed that you consent to the sending of newsletters. We will then send you a confirmation email asking you to confirm, by clicking a corresponding link, that you wish to receive newsletters in future.

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to the use of your personal data pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. When you register for the newsletter, we store your IP address registered by the internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration in order to be able to trace any misuse of your email address at a later date. The data we collect when you register for the newsletter is used exclusively for the purpose of advertising by means of the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter, edit it directly via the settings on our newsletter page, or by sending a corresponding message to the controller named at the beginning. After unsubscribing, your email address will be deleted from our newsletter distribution list without delay, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve a further use of data that is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this statement.

6.2 Sending the email newsletter to existing customers

If you have provided us with your email address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers from our range for goods or services similar to those already purchased by email. Pursuant to ยง 7 (3) UWG (German Act Against Unfair Competition), we do not have to obtain separate consent from you for this. In this respect, data processing is carried out solely on the basis of our legitimate interest in personalised direct advertising pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If you initially objected to the use of your email address for this purpose, we will not send you any emails. You are entitled to object to the use of your email address for the aforementioned advertising purpose at any time with effect for the future by notifying the controller named at the beginning. You will only incur transmission costs at the basic rates. After receipt of your objection, the use of your email address for advertising purposes will be stopped without delay.

6.3 Advertising by letter

On the basis of our legitimate interest in personalised direct advertising, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, your postal address and โ€” insofar as we have received this additional information from you in the context of the contractual relationship โ€” your title, academic degree, year of birth and your professional, industry or business designation pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and to use them to send you interesting offers and information about our products by letter.

You can object to the storage and use of your data for this purpose at any time by sending a corresponding message to the controller.

8. Use of social media: videos

8.1 Use of YouTube videos

This website uses the YouTube embedding function to display and play videos from the provider โ€œYouTubeโ€, which belongs to Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (โ€œGoogleโ€).

The extended data protection mode is used, which, according to the provider, only initiates the storage of user information when the video(s) are played. If playback of embedded YouTube videos is started, the provider โ€œYouTubeโ€ uses cookies to collect information about user behaviour. According to โ€œYouTubeโ€, these serve, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent abusive practices. If you are logged in to Google, your data is directly assigned to your account when you click on a video. If you do not wish to be associated with your YouTube profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of Googleโ€™s legitimate interests in the display of personalised advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube in order to exercise this right.

Regardless of whether the embedded videos are played, a connection to the Google network โ€œDoubleClickโ€ is established each time this website is accessed, which may trigger further data processing operations beyond our influence.

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement โ€œPrivacy Shieldโ€, which ensures compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.

Further information on data protection at โ€œYouTubeโ€ can be found in the providerโ€™s privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy

9. Online marketing

9.1 Use of Google AdWords conversion tracking

This website uses the online advertising programme โ€œGoogle AdWordsโ€ and, within the framework of Google AdWords, the conversion tracking of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (โ€œGoogleโ€). We use the Google AdWords service to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites with the help of advertising material (so-called Google AdWords). We can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the data of the advertising campaigns. We thereby pursue the interest of showing you advertising that is of interest to you, making our website more interesting for you and achieving a fair calculation of advertising costs.

The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an AdWords ad placed by Google. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer system. These cookies usually lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained with the help of the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page provided with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can block this use by deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie in your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. We use Google AdWords on the basis of our legitimate interest in targeted advertising pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement โ€œPrivacy Shieldโ€, which ensures compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.

You can obtain further information about Googleโ€™s privacy policy at the following internet address: http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

You can permanently deactivate cookies for ad preferences by preventing them through a corresponding setting of your browser software or by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de

Please note that certain functions of this website may not be available, or may only be available to a limited extent, if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

10. Web analysis services

10.1 Google (Universal) Analytics โ€“ Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (โ€œGoogleโ€). Google Analytics uses so-called โ€œcookiesโ€, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including the shortened IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

This website uses Google Analytics exclusively with the extension โ€œ_anonymizeIp()โ€, which ensures anonymisation of the IP address by truncation and excludes a direct personal reference. Through the extension, your IP address is truncated by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. In these exceptional cases, this processing is carried out pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behaviour for optimisation and marketing purposes.

On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Another way to prevent collection by Google Analytics is to use the following link:

11. Tools and other services

11.1 Google Maps

On our website we use Google Maps (API) from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (โ€œGoogleโ€). Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive (land) maps in order to present geographical information visually. By using this service, our location is displayed to you and any journey is made easier.

As soon as those sub-pages into which the Google Maps map is integrated are accessed, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to Google servers in the USA and stored there. This happens regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data is directly assigned to your account. If you do not wish to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google in order to exercise this right.

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement โ€œPrivacy Shieldโ€, which ensures compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.

If you do not agree to the future transmission of your data to Google in the context of using Google Maps, there is also the option of completely deactivating the Google Maps web service by switching off the JavaScript application in your browser. Google Maps and thus also the map display on this website can then not be used.

You can view Googleโ€™s terms of use at: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html

The additional terms of use for Google Maps can be found at: https://www.google.com/intl/de_US/help/terms_maps.html

Detailed information on data protection in connection with the use of Google Maps can be found on Googleโ€™s website (โ€œGoogle Privacy Policyโ€): https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/

11.2 Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (โ€œGoogleโ€) for the uniform display of fonts. When a page is accessed, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you use must connect to Googleโ€™s servers. This gives Google knowledge that our website was accessed via your IP address. Google Web Fonts are used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer is used.

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement โ€œPrivacy Shieldโ€, which ensures compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.

Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Googleโ€™s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

12. Rights of the data subject

12.1 The applicable data protection law grants you comprehensive rights as a data subject (rights of access and intervention) vis-ร -vis the controller with regard to the processing of your personal data, about which we inform you below:

โ€“ Right of access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR: you have in particular a right to information about your personal data processed by us, the purposes of processing, the categories of personal data processed, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period or the criteria for determining the storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, complaint to a supervisory authority, the origin of your data if it was not collected from you by us, the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, where applicable, meaningful information about the logic involved and the scope and intended effects of such processing for you, as well as your right to be informed about which guarantees pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR exist when your data is transferred to third countries;

โ€“ Right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR: you have a right to the immediate rectification of inaccurate data concerning you and/or the completion of incomplete data stored by us;

โ€“ Right to erasure pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR: you have the right to demand the erasure of your personal data if the conditions of Art. 17 (1) GDPR are met. However, this right does not exist in particular if the processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;

โ€“ Right to restriction of processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR: you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data for as long as the accuracy of your data contested by you is being verified, if you refuse erasure of your data due to unlawful data processing and instead demand the restriction of the processing of your data, if you need your data for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims after we no longer need this data after the purpose has been achieved, or if you have lodged an objection on grounds relating to your particular situation, for as long as it has not yet been determined whether our legitimate grounds override yours;

โ€“ Right to notification pursuant to Art. 19 GDPR: if you have asserted the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing vis-ร -vis the controller, the controller is obliged to notify all recipients to whom the personal data concerning you has been disclosed of this rectification or erasure of the data or restriction of processing, unless this proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. You have the right to be informed about these recipients.

โ€“ Right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR: you have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to demand transmission to another controller, insofar as this is technically feasible;

โ€“ Right to withdraw consent given pursuant to Art. 7 (3) GDPR: you have the right to withdraw consent to the processing of data once given at any time with effect for the future. In the event of withdrawal, we will delete the data concerned without delay, unless further processing can be based on a legal basis for processing without consent. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the withdrawal;

โ€“ Right to lodge a complaint pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR: if you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes the GDPR, you have the right โ€” without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy โ€” to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

12.2 RIGHT TO OBJECT

IF WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON THE BASIS OF A BALANCING OF INTERESTS BECAUSE OF OUR OVERRIDING LEGITIMATE INTEREST, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT TO THIS PROCESSING WITH EFFECT FOR THE FUTURE ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE DATA CONCERNED. FURTHER PROCESSING REMAINS RESERVED, HOWEVER, IF WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR IF THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS.

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED BY US FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT ADVERTISING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH ADVERTISING. YOU CAN EXERCISE THE OBJECTION AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE DATA CONCERNED FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING PURPOSES.

13. Duration of storage of personal data

The duration of the storage of personal data is determined by the respective statutory retention period (for example commercial and tax retention periods). After the period has expired, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, unless it is still required for the performance or initiation of a contract and/or we no longer have a legitimate interest in further storage.

14. Liability notice for links

Our website contains links to external third-party websites over whose content we have no influence. We therefore cannot accept any liability for this third-party content. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. Illegal content was not recognisable at the time of linking. Permanent monitoring of the content of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of an infringement. If we become aware of legal violations, we will remove such links immediately.

15. Security notice

Please note that data transmission on the internet (for example communication by email) can have security gaps, so that complete data security cannot be guaranteed.

16. Objection to use

We hereby expressly object to the use of the contact details given in the imprint or otherwise on this page for sending advertising or other information material that has not been expressly requested.
