Civilian users can also purchase mounting parts exclusively from us for attaching the TigIR to a Picatinny rail in order to repeatedly use the maximum possible precision of the attachment.
The mounting solution consists of two components: an adapter plate and a mounting clamp. The adapter plate made of a special seawater and chemical-resistant aluminum alloy is available in the sizes 36mm, 38mm, 39mm, 42mm, 48mm and 51.3mm, whereby the values indicate the dimension from the top of the Picatinny rail to the middle of the TigIR eyepiece when mounted; This measurement should correspond as closely as possible to the center of the lens of your optics. The adapter plate is screwed to the bottom of the TigIR, then the 7cm short mounting clamp from the manufacturer Recknagel/ERATAC is attached to it. The clamping lever can be hinged to the right or left as well as forwards or backwards and the clamping force can be finely adjusted. The mounting clamp is QPQ rated for maximum corrosion protection and meets the latest standard STANAG 4694 (downwards compatible to STANAG 2324 and MIL-STD 1913). Through further development, another 20 grams of weight could be saved.
All adapter plates are equipped with a thread so that they no longer have to be removed to mount the TigIR on a tripod and the weapon can be mounted quickly.
